The terms, kept short.

These are the rules for using Spendify. Reading them is dull but necessary. If you don't agree with any of it, please don't use the app — and write to hello@rhkventures.com if something seems unreasonable.

TL;DR — Use Spendify for personal expense tracking. Don't abuse it. Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. We provide the app honestly but can't promise it will be perfect.

01Who you're agreeing with

"Spendify," "we," "us," and "our" refer to RHK Ventures, the publisher of the Spendify iOS application. "You" means the person using the app on their device. By installing or using Spendify, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy linked from the same footer.

02What Spendify is for

Spendify is a personal expense journal. You write what you spent; the app organizes it; you look at it later to understand where your money went. Spendify is not financial advice, accounting software, tax software, or a substitute for talking to a human professional about your finances.

03Your account

  • You may use Spendify without an account, but creating one lets you keep your data across reinstalls and devices.
  • You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.
  • You agree the information you provide (email, name) is accurate.
  • One person per account. Don't share logins.

04Acceptable use

Don't use Spendify to:

  • Break the law, hurt other people, or facilitate either.
  • Reverse-engineer or scrape the service.
  • Try to get around rate limits, paywalls, or security controls.
  • Submit content that violates anyone's rights or the App Store guidelines.

We may suspend or close accounts that do any of the above.

05Subscriptions and payments

  • Spendify offers a paid tier ("Spendify Pro") via in-app purchase, handled by Apple and RevenueCat.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
  • You cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings, not through us. Apple handles billing, refunds, and renewals.
  • Prices are shown in the app at the time of purchase. We can change prices going forward, but any change applies to your next billing period, not the current one.
  • If you signed up for a free trial, you'll be charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand.

06Refunds

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Submit refund requests at support.apple.com. We can help you understand what was purchased; we can't process refunds directly.

07Your content

The text you type into Spendify ("your content") belongs to you. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it so that the app can function — including sending it to our AI parser to extract structure. We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't use it for any purpose beyond delivering Spendify to you.

08The AI parser, briefly

The AI that turns "coffee 4.75" into a structured expense is a probabilistic system. It will occasionally guess the wrong category, place, or amount. You're responsible for reviewing and correcting entries. We don't guarantee accuracy and Spendify shouldn't be used as the system of record for accounting, taxes, or anything where a wrong digit matters.

09Availability and changes

We do our best to keep Spendify available, but we don't promise 100% uptime. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app — including features and pricing — with reasonable notice when it affects paid users.

10Warranties & liability

Spendify is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RHK Ventures will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of your use of Spendify. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the app is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim — or, if you haven't paid us anything, USD $50.

11Termination

You can stop using Spendify at any time by deleting the app and, if you have an account, requesting deletion at hello@rhkventures.com. We can terminate or suspend access if you violate these terms.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where RHK Ventures is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim closer to home.

13Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a material way, we'll bump the version on this page and surface a notice in the app on next launch. Continuing to use Spendify after a change means you accept the updated terms.
